How to crochet mittens
Materials
Yarn
(recommended for 6.0mm knitting needles)
Crochet hook
(size 5mm)
Yarn
needle
Buttons
Scissors
Instructions
ROW 1: 20
chains. Slip stitch in first chain (make sure chain is not twisted).
ROW 2: Go up
with 4 chains. Make 1 high double crochet by taking a loop, introducing the
crochet in the next stitch and taking out the yarn. In the crochet there are
three - we close the first one, then the following 2, and finally the remaining
two. Repeat until the end of the row. Close row with a slip stitch.
ROW 3: Go up
with 8 chains, insert chain in the same stitch where you started making 1 slip
stitch. Go up with 4 chains, make high double crochet all around, including the
chain of 8 that we made at the start. Close row with a slip stitch.
ROWS 4 – 6:
Go up with 4 chains, make high double crochet for each stitch of the previous
row. Repeat until the end of the rows. Close each row with a slip stitch.
ROW 7: Go up
with 3 chains, make decreases till the end of the row. Close row with a
slip stitch.
ROWS 8 – 9:
Make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end
of the rows. Close each row with a slip
stitch.
Cut the
yarn.
Strap
15 chains and make 15 double crochet.

Sew strap to mittens
·
Sew buttons to mittens
· Make the other mitten repeating the
same pattern.
