Part 1
Colour blue
ROW 1: Make chain of 45.
ROWS 2 – 38: Go up with 1 chain, make 1 single
crochet for each stitch of the chain. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Colour Change
(green)
ROWS 39 – 65: Go up with 1 chain, make 1 single
crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Colour Change (blue)
ROWS 66 – 103: Go up with 1 chain, make 1 single
crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Make knit with green wool (2):
ROW 1: Make 20 chains, go up with 1 chain and
make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the chain.
ROWS 2 – 3: Go up with 1 chain, make 1 single
crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Repeat the same pattern on the other side.
Cord (2)
ROW 1: Make chain of
170.
ROW 2: Go up with 1 chain and make 1 single
crochet for each stitch of the chain.
George Pig
Colour Light Pink
ROW 1: Magic ring of 10 single crochet. Directly
knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning
of the row with a stitch marker.
ROW 2: 1 increase for each stitch of the previous
row. Directly knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark
the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.
ROW 3: 1 single crochet and 1 increase until the
end of the row. Directly knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following
row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.
ROW 4: 2 single crochet and 1 increase until the
end of the row. Directly knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following
row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.
ROW 5: 3 single crochet and 1 increase until the
end of the row. Directly knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following
row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.
Nose
ROW 6: 7 single crochet.
ROWS 7 – 10: Go up with 1 chain, keep making
single crochet. Repeat until the end of the rows.
ROW 11: 5 Single crochet and 1 increase (x 4
times). Keep making single crochet until you finish the nose, then close with a
slip stitch.
Cut the yarn.
Ears (2)
ROW 1: Chain of 4, go up with 1 chain, single
crochet, triple increase (that is 3 single crochet in the same stitch) and keep
making single crochet.
• Sew
the ears to the head and using a darker pink make single crochet all around,
including the ears. Close with a slip
stitch.
• Make
11 separation chains and sew at the other end of the nose’s tip. Cut the yarn. Then
with a needle attach the chain to the nose.
• With a
needle pass yarn in the middle of the nose three times (inside the circle thus
formed).
Eyes (2)
ROW 1: Magic ring of 6 single crochet in white
colour.
ROW 2: With darker pink make 1 single crochet
until the end of the row.
Close with a slip stitch.
Make another eye repeating the same pattern.
Attach the black eye to the white area of the
eye, right in the middle.
Cheek
Use a Darker Pink
ROW 1: Magic ring of 6 single crochet. Directly
knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning
of the row with a stitch marker.
ROW 2: Increases during the whole row and close
with a slip stitch.
Mouth
Colour Pink
Make 1 chain of 10. Cut the yarn.
Building
the head
Sew the eyes, the cheeks and the smile to the
head.
Arms (2)
Colour Light Pink
1.
Chain of 10. Go up with 1 chain, make 1 single crochet for each stitch
of the chain.
2.
2 separation chains. Cut the yarn.
3.
2 separation chains on the other side.
4.
Insert crochet in the middle (where the V is) and make 2 separation
chains. Cut the yarn.
Make another arm repeating the same pattern.
George Pig’s
clothes
Colour blue
ROW 1: Chain of 8. Go up with 1 chain, make 1
single crochet for each stitch of the chain.
ROWS 2 – 4: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet
in the same stitch, keep making single crochet and 1 increase (last stitch).
Repeat until the end of the rows.
ROWS 5: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet for
each stitch of the previous row.
ROWS 6: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet, keep
making increases and when you are 2 stitches away make 2 single crochet.
Row of single crochet all around the knit.

head to George Pig’s clothes
· Sew
arms to George Pig’s clothes
Crochet Sun
(Use
crochet hook of size 3mm to knit
the sun)
ROW 1: Magic ring of 10 single crochet. Close row
with a slip stitch.
ROW 2: 1 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat
until the end of the row. Close row with a slip stitch.
ROW 3: 1 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat
until the end of the row. Close row with a slip stitch.
Make chain of 6. Cut the yarn.
Miss 2 stitches of the previous row, insert
crochet and make chain of 6. Cut the yarn. Repeat until the end of the row.
Ball
Colour
white
ROW 1: Magic ring of 12 single crochet. Close row
with a slip stitch.
ROW 2: 1
increase for each stitch of the previous row. Close row with a slip stitch.
ROW 3: 1 single crochet and 1 increase until the
end of the row. Close row with a slip stitch.
ROW 4: 2 single crochet and 1 increase until the
end of the row. Close row with a slip stitch.
Coloured balls to sew to the ball (5)
ROW 1: Magic ring of 8 single crochet. Close row
with a slip stitch.
Sew the coloured balls to the white ball and make
1 single crochet in grey, around the entire contour of the ball.
Assemble the backpack
1. Fold the knit at the top and bottom. Fold 6
rows and sew with yarn.
2. Fold the backpack knit. Put the green knit at
each end of the backpack and sew the pieces from the back to the top where the knit
was folded.
3. Insert the cord into each side of the backpack
through the top where the knit was folded, and then insert the cord through
each strap of the backpack.
Do the same for the other side.
4. Sew
George Pig, the sun and the ball to the backpack.
