INSTRUCTIONS
Back
Colour White
Foundation chain: Make chain of 48
ROW 1: Go up with 1 chain and make 1 single crochet for each
stitch of the chain.
Change colour (blue)
ROW 2: Go up with 1 chain and make 1 single crochet for each
stitch of the previous row.
Change colour (white)
ROWS 3 – 5: Go up with 1 chain and make 1 single crochet for
each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
ROWS 6 – 39: Go up with 2 chains and make 1 half double
crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Front
Colour White
Foundation chain: Make chain of 48
ROW 1: Go up with 1 chain and make 1 single crochet for each
stitch of the chain.
Change colour (blue)
ROW 2: Go up with 1 chain and make 1 single crochet for each
stitch of the previous row.
Change colour (white)
ROWS 3 – 5: Go up with 1 chain and make 1 single crochet for
each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
ROWS 6 – 28: Go up with 2 chains and make 1 half double
crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
ROW 29: Mark 24 stitches and make 24 half double crochet.
ROWS 30: Go up with 2 chains, 1 decrease, keep making half
double crochet.
ROWS 31: Go up with 2 chains, make half double crochet and
with the last two stitches on the row make 1 decrease.
ROWS 32 – 39: Go up with 2 chains and make 1 half double
crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Repeat on the other side of the sweater from rows 30 – 39.
Piece with combination of colours (white and blue) for the
lower part of the neck.
Colour White
Make chain of 15.
ROW 1: Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the chain.
Change colour (blue)
ROWS 2 – 3: Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the
previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Change colour (white)
ROWS 4 – 5: Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the
previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Change colour (blue)
ROWS 6 – 7: Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the
previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
Change colour (white)
ROWS 8: Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous
row.
Two Sleeves
Colour White
ROW 1: Make 33 chains and join at the end with a single
crochet in first chain. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.
ROW 2: 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row.
Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the
beginning of the row with a stitch marker.
Change colour (blue)
ROWS 3: Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous
row. Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark
the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.
Change colour (white)
ROWS 4 – 5: Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the
previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows. Directly Knit 1 single crochet
in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a
stitch marker.
ROWS 6: Make 10 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until
the end of the row. Directly Knit 1 half double crochet in order to start the
following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.
ROWS 7 – 30: Make 1 half double crochet for each stitch of
the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows. Directly Knit 1 half double
crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with
a stitch marker.
Do the same for the other sleeve.
Put the pieces together
- Sew the front with the back
- Sew the sleeves to the sweater
- Sew the front to the back on the
shoulders
- Sew the piece with colours
(white and blue) at the bottom of the neck
Sailor cape
ROW 1: Locate the back of the neck at the back and make 1
half double crochet in each stitch.
ROWS 2 – 10: Make 1 half double crochet for each stitch of
the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.
ROW 11: Make 1 half double crochet all the way around
including cape and neck at the front. Close the row with a slip stitch.
Cut the yarn.
ROWS 12: Put yarn in the front part of the neck where the V
is formed. Make 6 separation chains, go up with 2 chains and make half double
crochet all the way around. In each corner of the back of the cape make a
triple increase. When you reach the end of the other side of the neck make 6
separation chains.
ROWS 2 – 5: Make 1 half double crochet for each stitch of the
previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows. In each corner of the back of
the cape make a triple increase.
Change colour (blue)
ROWS 6: Make 1 half double crochet for each stitch of the
previous row. In each corner of the back of the cape make a triple increase.
Change colour (white)
ROWS 7: Make 1 half double crochet for each stitch of the
previous row. Repeat until the end of the row. In each corner of the back of
the cape make a triple increase.
Piece to tie the neck
Foundation chain: Make chain of 20
ROW 1: Go up with 2 chains and make 1 half double crochet for
each stitch of the chain.
ROW 2: Go up with 2 chains and make 1 half double crochet for
each stitch of the previous row.
Sew the piece to the sweater.
