Materials

 

Yarn (recommended for crochet 3.0mm)

Crochet hook (size 2.5mm)

Stitch markers  

Satin ribbon

Lighter

Yarn needle

Scissors

 


Instructions


Colour green

Make 15 chains slip stitch in first chain (make sure chain is not twisted).

ROW 1: 2 double crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 2:  3 double crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Change of colour: White

Mark 3 stitches at each side.

ROW 3: Put the yarn joining the front with the back. Go up with 3 chains, in the next stitch make 1 increase, in the next stitch make 1 double crochet. Repeat sequence until next stitch markers. Join the front with the back with 1 double crochet, in the next stitch make 1 increase, in the next stitch make 1 double crochet. Repeat until the end of the row.​ Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROWS 4- 5: Make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Close row with a slip stitch. Repeat until the end of the rows.

Cut the yarn.

Locate the centre of the knit and join it with a slip stitch.

Change of colour: green

ROWS 6 - 7: Go up with 1 chain and make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Close row with a slip stitch. Repeat until the end of the rows.

Do the other part of the leg by repeating the same pattern.

Put the ribbon in the middle of rows 2 and 3. Make a knot with the ribbon.

We burn the ribbon tip for a better finish.

Instructions

ROW 1: Make 6 single crochet inside magic ring.

ROW 2: Directly knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 1 increase (that is 2 single crochet in the same stitch) for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row.

ROW 3: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 1 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROW 4: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 2 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROW 5: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 3 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROW 6: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 4 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROW 7: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 5 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROW 8: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 6 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROW 9: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 7 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROW 10: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 8 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROW 11: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 9 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

ROWS 12 – 31: Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker. Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the rows. Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start each following row. Mark the beginning of each row with a stitch marker.

Now we’ve finished row 31.

Row 31 is the only one that I close with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Snout

Mark 22 stitches

Change of colour

ROW 32: Make 22 single crochet

ROWS 33 – 34: Go up with 1 chain, 1 decrease, keep making single crochet and at the end of the row 1 decrease. Repeat until the end of the rows.

ROWS 35 – 46: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the rows.

·  Cut the yarn

• Fold the knit

• Sew the snout to the beanie

Ear covers (2)

Mark 11 stitches at each side.

ROWS 1 - 4: Take the yarn and make 11 stitches. Repeat until the end of the rows.

ROWS 5 – 7: Go up with 1 chain, 1 decrease, keep making single crochet and at the end of the row 1 decrease. Repeat until the end of the rows.

ROW 8: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row.

ROW 9: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet, 2 separation chains, miss next 2 stitches of the previous row, keep making single crochet.

Row of single crochet all around the knit.

Cut the yarn.

Ears (2)

Colour beige

ROW 1: Make 1 magic ring of 12 double crochet.

·         Cut the yarn

·         Pull the yarn

·         Do not close the magic ring

Colour change (Brown)

ROW 2: Make 1 increase (that is 2 double crochet in the same stitch) for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row.

Cut the yarn.

Make another ear repeating the same pattern.

Nose

ROW 1: Make 1 chain of 7.

ROW 2: Make 7 Single crochet.

ROW 3: Go up with 1 chain, 1 decrease, keep making single crochet and at the end of the row 1 decrease.

ROW 4: Go up with 1 chain and make decreases.

ROW 5: To finish the base, go all around the nose making a single crochet for each stitch. Close the row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Braids

80 cm of yarn x 4 pieces -2 of each colour, put in the tip of the ear covers and make 1 knot. Divide the strands and make 1 braid out of 3 and continue the braid until it measures 11cm.

Make 1 knot at the end of the braid to secure it, leave some loose strands and cut them to even them out.

Total length of the braid 20 cm.

Eyes

2 brown buttons.

Smile

15 chains.

Cut the yarn.

Assemble the hat:

·         Locate and sew the ears, the eyes (buttons) and the nose into the beanie

·         Sew the smile (15 chains) to the beanie    

 Measures:

16.5cm long

44 cm wide (all around)

Ear covers: 6.5 cm long

Braid: 20 cm long

Materials

Yarn (recommended for crochet 4.0mm)

Crochet hook (size 3mm)

Size: 12 – 18 months

 



Instructions

Foundation chain: Chains 105.

ROW 1: Slip stitch in first chain (make sure chain is not twisted). Go up with 3 chains (this counts as the first double crochet) and make 1 double crochet for each chain stitch. Close row with a slip stitch.

ROWS 2 - 5: Go up with 3 chains (this counts as the first double crochet) and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Close row with a slip stitch. Repeat until the end of the rows.

Legs

Locate the centre of the knit and join it with a Slip stitch.

Make each side of the legs repeating the same pattern, as follows:

ROWS 1 – 5: Go up with 3 chains (this counts as the first double crochet) and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Close row with a slip stitch. Repeat until the end of the rows.

ROWS 6 – 16: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 decrease, then double crochet until the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the rows. Close each row with a slip stitch.

Colour change (blue)

ROW 17: Go up with 3 chains and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Close row with a slip stitch.

ROW 18: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the front part (front post double crochet). Make a double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the back part (back post double crochet). Repeat until the end of the row.  Close row with a slip stitch.

ROW 19: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the front part (front post double crochet). Make a double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the back part (back post double crochet). Repeat until the end of the row.  Close row with a slip stitch.

Finally, cut the yarn and repeat pattern for the other leg.

Locate the top of the knit and insert the crochet into the middle of the knit from the front.

ROW 1: Go up with 3 chains and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. (Do not close the row with slip stitch).

ROWS 2 – 19: Flip knit and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until all rows are finished. (Do not close the rows with slip stitch).

Mark the ends of the romper with the stitch markers.

ROWS 20 – 21: Go up with 3 chains and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row until you reach the point where the stitch marker is. Repeat until the end of the rows. 

ROW 22: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 decrease, then double crochet until the end of the row.

ROW 23: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row and with the last 2 stitches of the row make 1 decrease.

ROW 24: Go up with 3 chains, 1 decrease, 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row.

ROWS 25 – 27: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the rows.

Repeat the same pattern on the other side of the romper.

Locate the back of the romper (back)                                                                    

ROWS 20 – 27: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the rows.

Revers the knit inside-out

Make single crochet to join the shoulders (front part with the back part)

Two Sleeves

ROWS 1 – 19: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Close row with a slip stitch. Repeat until the end of the rows.

Change colour (blue)

ROW 20: Go up with 3 chains and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Close row with a slip stitch.

ROWS 21 - 22: Go up with 3 chains, make 1 double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the front part (front post double crochet). Make a double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the back part (back post double crochet). Repeat until the end of the rows.  Close row with a slip stitch.

Do the same for the other sleeve.

Finishes

1. Make 1 single crochet around the front edge (collar and button hole) Close row with a slip stitch.

2. Change colour (blue) and make 1 double crochet around the front edge (collar and button opening)

3. Sew the buttons on the blue edge of the romper

4. Stitch the bottom of the opening with 1 stitch

5. Sew Car Applique to the front of the romper

Note:

• On each row go up with 3 chains

• Close row with a slip stitch
