ROW1: 1 chain of 24.

Cut the yarn.

Hat ears, Scarf and Mittens

ROW 1: Mark 22 stitches at each side. Make 22 single crochet.

ROW 2: Go up with 1 chain, 1 decrease, keep making single crochet and at the end of the row 1 decrease.

ROW 3: Go up with 1 chain, 1 decrease, keep making single crochet and at the end of the row 1 decrease.

ROW 4: Go up with 1 chain, 1 decrease, keep making single crochet and at the end of the row 1 decrease.

ROWS 5 – 93: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the rows. Mark row 93.

ROWS 94 – 118: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the rows.

To form the mittens

1.        Fold the pieces in the row number 93 to make the mittens
2.       Join the pieces with a single crochet, so that the mittens are formed, and continue making single crochet around the scarf, including the hat.

Part of the face

Eyes (use 3.5mm crochet)

ROW 1: Make 6 single crochet inside magic ring. Close each row with a slip stitch.

ROW 2: Make 1 increase (that is 2 single crochet in the same stitch) for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Close each row with a slip stitch.

Make another eye repeating the same pattern.

Nose (use 3.5mm crochet)

Cut the yarn.

Make another ear repeating the same pattern.

Bow (4.0mm crochet) – make 3 bows

ROW 1: Make 1 chain of 24.

ROW 2: 24 single crochet.

ROW 3: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row.

ROWS 4 – 10: 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the rows.

·         Make 10 chains and make 10 single crochet. Cut the yarn.
·         Join the piece with single crochet.
·         With a needle sew up to the other end of the piece while pressing the yarn.
·         Make a couple of rows with the yarn in the middle of the bow.
·         Put the 10 single crochet piece in the centre of the bow and sew it from the back of the bow.

Assemble the hat: 

·         Locate and sew the ears, the eyes and the nose into the hat
·         Sew a bow next to the ear and the other two bows in each mittens
·         Make 3 moustaches with black wool on each side of the face

Cut the yarn.

Do the same at the other end, from the top.

Make single crochet throughout the outline of the figure. Close row with a slip stitch.

Eyes (Crochet 3mm)

ROW 1: Make 12 double crochet inside magic ring.  Close row with a slip stitch.

ROW 2: 1 increase (that is 2 single crochet in the same stitch) for each stitch of the previous row. Close row with a slip stitch.  

Cut the yarn.

Draw the eyelashes with the needle and black yarn.

Make another eye repeating the same pattern.

Nose (yellow)

ROW 1: Make chain of 3, Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet, 1 triple increase, 2 single crochet.
Sew the eyes and nose to the applique.

Change colour (pink)

ROW 8: make 5 double crochet, go back 4 double crochet and in the fourth stitch insert the crochet and make double crochet. Repeat sequence until end of the row.

ROWS 9 – 17: 5 double crochet, go back 4 double crochet and in the fourth stitch insert the crochet and make double crochet, miss 1 stitch… Repeat sequence until end of the rows.

In total the piece must have 20 motifs that we divide as follows:

5 motifs – 10 motifs – 5 motifs

Front 

ROWS 18 – 23: 5 double crochet, go back 4 double crochet and in the fourth stitch insert the crochet and make double crochet, miss 1 stitch… Repeat sequence until end of the rows.

Cut the yarn.

Buttons (5)

ROW 1: Magic ring of 6 single crochet.  Close the row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Close the bottom of the button with the help of a needle.
Sew the buttons to the coat.

Buttonhole

In the pink part make single crochet and calculate where we should make the buttonhole.
10 separation chains and insert the chain in the same stitch, then make a slip stitch. Repeat sequence until finishing all buttonholes. At the end of the buttonholes continue making single crochet up to where the double of the neck was made.

Cut the yarn.

Make single crochet around the contour in each leg. Close row with a slip stitch.  Cut the yarn.
Put ribbon on the first row of the diaper covers.
Make a simple bow with the ribbon.

Measures

20 cm long approx.
55 cm wide approx. (the whole outline)

Ruffles on the back of the diaper cover

Mark the places where you want the Ruffles.
Fold the piece where you marked, and insert the crochet and the yarn.

ROW 1: Go up with 3 chains, and in the same stitch make 2 double crochet and keep making 3 double crochet in each stitch till the end of the row. Repeat until the end of the row.  Cut the yarn.
Do the same with the other ruffles (3 in total)

Bow 

  • Take 1 ribbon of 40 cm and fold it to form a bow
  • Sew in the middle of the bow
  • Roll the thread in the centre of the bow
  • Put a piece of ribbon in the centre of the bow and sew it on the back
  • Cut the tips of the ribbon
  • Sew the bow in the middle of the ears of Minnie's figure
  • Sew button
Handle

  • Make 8 chains and join the other end making 1 single crochet, continue making single crochet circularly until it is 41 cm long.
  • Sew the handle to each end of the bag.

ROWS 9 – 12: Go up with 1 chain, 1 decrease, keep making single crochet and at the end of the row make 1 decrease. Repeat until the end of the rows.

ROW 13: Go up with 1 chain and 1 decrease.

Cut the yarn.

Beard (colour white)

Make 15 chains and make 1 slip stitch in first chain (make sure chain is not twisted). Cut the yarn and wind the thread through the middle of the chain, make a knot and sew it to Santa's face. Then:

  • Design smile and nose (colour red)
  • Draw the eyes (colour black)
  • Make 1 small pompom and sew it on top of the hat
  • With the help of the needle and the remaining red thread make the pendant.

Rows 19 and 20: Do them with 3.0 mm crochet.

ROW 19: Go up with 3 chains, 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 20: Go up with 3 chains. Make 1 double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the front part (front post double crochet). Make a double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the back part (back post double crochet). Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Cord

·         Take 2 strands of grey yarn (30 cm each)
·         Make a knot at the tip
·         Weave the strands of yarn
·         Make a final knot
·         Insert the cord in the double crochet (row 19 and 20)

Eyes Crochet hook (size 3 mm)

Colour black

ROW 1: Make 10 single crochet inside magic ring. Close the row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Colour change (White)

ROW 2: Go up with 1 chain, make 1 increase (that is 2 single crochet in the same stitch) for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 3: Make 1 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 4: Make 2 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Colour change (Grey)

ROW 5: Go up with 1 chain, 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Make another eye repeating the same pattern.

Cut the yarn.

Assemble the hat

1. Sew the eyes on the black stripe.
2. Sew the mouth under the eyes.
3. Take strands of black wool and pass it through the inside of the hat, then pull it through the top of the hat. From the inside of the hat make several knots so that they do not come out from the other side, cut the excess wool.

Locate the strands in the top of the hat, put the needle through a stitch nearby and leave the strands a bit long. Take the needle out from another stitch nearby and put it back in another stitch nearby and leave the strands long. Take the needle out again and insert it again taking care that all the strands are of the same length. Cut the strands of yarn. Make 1 knot and another knot to reinforce. Cut the excess yarn to make it even.
