Crochet Santa Claus Face

Materials

Yarn (recommended for 4mm knitting needles)

Crochet hook (size 3mm)

Stitch Markers 

Pom pom Maker

Yarn needle

Scissors

Instructions

Face (colour pink)

ROW 1: Make 6 single crochet inside magic ring. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 2: Make 1 increase (that is 2 single crochet in the same stitch) for each stitch of the previous row until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.  

ROW 3: Make 1 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.  

Cut the yarn.

Change colour (White)

ROW 4: Go up with 1 chain, make 10 single crochet in total, in the next stitch 1 slip stitch, go up with 8 chains and bring the chain to the same stitch and make 1 slip stitch, go up with 8 chains and bring the chain to the same stitch and make 1 slip stitch, in the next stitch 1 slip stitch. Repeat sequence until end of row. Close the row with a slip stitch.  

ROW 5: Make 10 single crochet. Close the row with a slip stitch. 

Cut the yarn.

Change colour (Red)

ROW 6: Make single crochet where row 5 was made, which means 10 single crochet.

ROWS 7 - 8: Make 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.

ROWS 9 – 12: Go up with 1 chain, 1 decrease, keep making single crochet and at the end of the row make 1 decrease. Repeat until the end of the rows.

ROW 13: Go up with 1 chain and 1 decrease.

Cut the yarn.

Beard (colour white)

Make 15 chains and make 1 slip stitch in first chain (make sure chain is not twisted). Cut the yarn and wind the thread through the middle of the chain, make a knot and sew it to Santa's face. Then:

• Design smile and nose (colour red)
• Draw the eyes (colour black)
• Make 1 small pompom and sew it on top of the hat
• With the help of the needle and the remaining red thread make the pendant.
