How to crochet hat with pompom

Materials

Yarn (recommended for 4.0mm crochet)

Crochet hook (size 3mm)

Stitch Markers 

Pompom Maker

Yarn needle

Scissors

 

Size: 3-6 months

 

Instructions

ROW 1: Magic ring of 12 double crochet. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 2: 1 increase for each stitch of the previous row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 3: Make 1 double crochet and 1 increase (that is 2 double crochet in the same stitch). Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 4: Make 2 double crochet and 1 increase (that is 2 double crochet in the same stitch). Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 5: Make 3 double crochet and 1 increase (that is 2 double crochet in the same stitch). Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 6: Make 4 double crochet and 1 increase (that is 2 double crochet in the same stitch). Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 7: Make 5 double crochet and 1 increase (that is 2 double crochet in the same stitch). Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROWS 8 – 13: 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows. Close each row with a slip stitch.

ROW 14: Go up with 3 chains. Make 1 double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the front part (front post double crochet). Make a double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the back part (back post double crochet). Repeat until the end of the row.  Close row with a slip stitch.

ROW 15: Go up with 3 chains. Make 1 double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the front part (front post double crochet). Make a double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the back part (back post double crochet). Repeat until the end of the row.  Close row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Sew the Pompom onto the top of the hat.
