How to crochet a mini skirt

Materials

Yarn (recommended for 10 mm crochet)

Crochet hook (size 8 mm)

Yarn needle 

Scissors

Size: 12, for women

Instructions

This video explains how to make this mini crochet skirt. The skirt is made in rods and elastic knit at the waist. We have put a cord around the waist to hold it. Size is 12 for women.

Measures  

28 cm long approx.  

106 cm wide approx.

ROW 1: Make 77 chains and join them with a slip stitch in the first chain (make sure chain is not twisted).

ROW 2: Go up with 3 chains and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until end of row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 3: Go up with 3 chains. Make 1 double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the front part (front post double crochet). Make a double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the back part (back post double crochet). Repeat until the end of the row. Close row with a slip stitch.

ROW 4: Go up with 3 chains. Make 1 double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the front part (front post double crochet). Make a double crochet taking the double crochet from the previous row from the back part (back post double crochet). Repeat until the end of the row. Close row with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

Change of colour

ROW 5: Go up with 3 chains and 9 double crochet and 1 increase. Make 10 double crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until end of row. Close the row with a slip stitch. 

ROWS 6 – 9: Go up with 3 chains and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous rows. Repeat until end of rows. Close each row with a slip stitch.

Change of colour

ROWS 10 – 13: Go up with 3 chains and make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous rows. Repeat until end of rows. Close each row with a slip stitch.

Cord

·     Chain 100

·     Insert the cord into the waist part of the skirt.
