Crochet Summer Sun Hat

Materials

Yarn (recommended for 5mm crochet)

Crochet hook (size 3mm)

Satin Ribbon

Yarn needle 

Scissors

Instructions

ROW 1: Magic ring of 10 double crochet. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 2: 1 increase for each stitch of the previous row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 3: 1 double crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

 ROW 4: 2 double crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 5: 3 double crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 6: 4 double crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 7: 5 double crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROWS 8 - 9: 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row.  Repeat until the end of the rows. Close each row with a slip stitch.

ROW 10: Go up with 3 chains, 1 double crochet and 1 separation chain, miss next 1 stitch, 2 double crochet in the following stitches. Repeat sequence until end of row.  Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 11: 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROW 12: Go up with 3 chains, 1 double crochet and 1 separation chain, miss next 1 stitch, 2 double crochet in the following stitches. Repeat sequence until end of row.  Close the row with a slip stitch.

ROWS 13 – 14: 1 double crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows. Close each row with a slip stitch.

ROW 15: Make 2 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row.

Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.

ROW 16: 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row.  Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.

ROW 17: 3 single crochet and 1 increase. Repeat until the end of the row. Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.

ROWS 18 - 25: 1 single crochet for each stitch of the previous row. Repeat until the end of the rows.  Directly Knit 1 single crochet in order to start the following row. Mark the beginning of the row with a stitch marker.

Now we’ve finished row 25.

It’s the only one that I close with a slip stitch.

Cut the yarn.

To decorate

Get the satin ribbon, insert it in row 14 and make a tie.
