Starting from
the blouse’s lower part I’m going to use a small sample in order to explain how
to make it. We’re going to knit this
blouse circularly (all in one piece).
ROW 1: 135
chains. Slip stitch in first chain (make sure chain is not twisted).
ROW 2: Go up
with 5 chains, miss 4 stitches and in the fifth stitch make 1 double crochet.
Repeat sequence until end of row. Close row with a slip stitch.
ROWS 3 - 23:
Go up with 5 chains and insert the crochet in the following free space and make
1 double crochet. Go up with 5 chains… Repeat sequence until end of rows. Close each row with a slip stitch.
ROWS 24: Go up
with 5 chains, make 5 double crochet in the third stitch of the chain of the
previous row, go up with 3 chains and flip knit. Make a loop and insert crochet
in the next stitch and extract yarn. Make a loop and insert crochet in the
following stitch and extract yarn. Make a loop and insert crochet in the
following stitch and extract yarn. In the crochet there have to be 7. Close the
first 6 at the same time and then the remaining 2 in the crochet.
Go up with 5
chains. Repeat sequence until end of row. Close row with a slip stitch.
ROW 25: Go up
with 5 chains, make 1 double crochet in the remaining stitch (where we closed
all the joint stitches of the previous row). Go up with 5 separation chains…
Repeat until end of row. Close row with a slip stitch.
Cut the yarn.
Braces
Leave 5
motifs. Mark the back and front (braces) with a stitch marker between the next
two double crochet.
Repeat the
same from the other side.
ROW 1: Go up
with 3 chains, make 5 double crochet.
ROW 2 – 21: Go
up with 6 chains and make double crochet in the last stitch of that row. In the
following rows, go up with 6 chains and make 1 double crochet within the space
of the previous row.
ROW 22: 6
double crochet.
• Sew the brace at the other end
• Make single crochet throughout the
contour of the top of the blouse (including the braces)
Note: Close
each row with a slip stitch.
