DIY - How to crochet a
headband
Materials
Yarn
(recommended for 4mm knitting needles)
Crochet hook
(size 4mm)
Buttons
Yarn

Instructions
ROW 1: 13 chains.
ROW 2: Make 1 double crochet for each stitch of the chain.
ROWS 3 – 28: Make 1 row taking every next stitch (front loop
only) and make 1 double crochet. In the following row take every next stitch (back
loop only) and make 1 double crochet.
The shirred section of the headband
(brown)
Mark the places where you want the shirred rows.
In total you
need 4 rows.
Fold the knit where you marked, and insert the crochet and
the yarn.
ROW 1: Go up with 2 chains, then in the same stitch make 1 half
double crochet, keep making 2 half double crochet in each stitch until you the
end the row.
ROW 2: Go up with 1 chain, in the following stitches of the
previous row make single crochet increases (2 single crochet in the same stitch).
In the last stitch of the row make 1 single crochet.
Repeat until the end of the shirred section.
Sew buttons in the middle of the shirred section.
Measures
41 cm long approx.
7 cm wide approx.
